Bladefin Basslet Video from Blue Harbor
Posted on Saturday, June 4th, 2011 at 12:52 pm by ReefToolsLast month we reported a Bladefin Basslet being sold for $9,999. Many reader have asked if we could get them a closer look at this fish. Well, here is a beautiful video of the Bladefin Basslet,Jeboehlkia gladifer, from Blue Harbor, the famous Osaka, Japan shop. As we mentioned, this fish is found at a depth of over 500 feet, and therefore is extremely rare in the hobby. This may actually not be due to the fact that it a “rare fish” per se, but rather, due to the fact that collecting this fish is extraordinarily difficult.
Let us know what you think.
