  • A Few Macros

Okay, here are a few macros I took. I'm now using a Canon EF 100mm f 2.8 Macro instead of the earlier 50mm.

I fiddled with the f-stop and shutter speed, but left the ISO at 200. Pics were taken under MH with T5 actinics. Still not sure why my color looks like crap and washed out, but I'm sure one of you fine folks can offer suggestions. Although I will say that some of my corals just don't have good color. I set the custom WB (I think) so I figured that would have helped.

Anyway, enjoy and please offer suggestions/ hints etc.

BTW, all pics are untouched--this is how the came out of the camera.

Here's the link to the Photobucket gallery:

        Pretty nice shots there!

Someday maybe I'll quit building and actually have enough money to buy a SLR and some nice lenses.

Thanks. I'm still working on it, and hope I can get some much better pics. I know I need to reset the white balance (don't think I did it right), but I wish I could figure how to improve the color saturation so that the corals are more vivd. Suggestions?

Shooting in RAW and adjusting color in PhotoShop or Gimp.
